The first half always has me singing the Messiah, though. I love verses 22-24–especially right now, when I’m so worked up politically. It’s good to remember that God brings nations to naught, that He raises rulers and fells them. The politics and judges of this earth may be corrupt–but God over them is righteous and all-powerful.
